Revival of Thunder Valley Raceway: A Thrilling New Era Ahead
SALEM, Ind. - Following a period of closure, the Southern Indiana dirt track is poised to roar back to life in 2024 under the management of Dirt2Media. Thunder Valley Raceway will undergo a spectacular revival, promising to reclaim its status as a premier destination for racing enthusiasts.
Situated at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Salem, Indiana, the historic bullring which traditionally operated on Friday nights has sat idle since the conclusion of the 2021 racing season.
“We are thrilled for the opportunity to bring racing back to Thunder Valley. It’s a special place for the local racing community and a lot of great memories have been made over the years and we look forward to bringing it back to life so more memories can be made for hopefully many years to come,” said Dirt2Media Founder & Co-Owner Ryan Bowling.
While the date of the reopening is yet to be determined, Bowling states the track will be operating in 2024.
“This deal just got signed last week, so we are a little behind on getting a full schedule put in place for this season. There’s a lot of work to be done to get the place back in operation but we will have cars on track at some point in 2024 and plan on having a full schedule for 2025 announced later this Fall so attendees can plan early.”
