Racing Returns To Indiana Short Track In 2024
SEYMOUR, Ind. - Ten events highlight the 2024 resurgence of Miami County Raceway, formerly known as Circus City Speedplex. The 1/8th mile dirt oval located outside of Peru, Indiana ceased operations on July 1st, 2023.
The facility will now be operated on various Friday nights throughout 2024 by the owners of US24 Speedway, Jim & Deb Wood, and will host competition for a variety of Micro Sprint divisions.
An open practice session on April 14th, 2024 preludes the season opener scheduled for April 19th featuring a Weekly Racing program. A trio of points events makeup the months May and June. The Heartland Auto Racing Tour headlines a Monday night special on June 24th kickoff Indiana Micro Week.
The Febe Wolf Racing Giveback weekend kicks off on July 12th at Miami County before heading down the road to US24 Speedway on July 13th. Another points night on the 26th wraps up the month of July.
A special event dubbed "The Twist" is set to take place on August 16th and will serve as a lock-in race for the famed Carol Smith Memorial at US24 Speedway. That event is scheduled for August 17th at the Logansport facility.
Two more points nights through August and September will conclude the 2024 racing season.
