PREVIEW: Round 1 of Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek @ Greenwood Valley Action Tracks
Round 1 of Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek presented by Performance Electronics kicks off Monday night at Greenwood Valley Action Tracks, a 1/5th mile banked dirt oval located in Orangeville, PA.
Nearly 80 entries are filed for the 2023 edition of the prestigious Speedweek tour that boasts six nights of competition in as many nights at six different facilities spread across Pennsylvania and Delaware.
The first five nights are set to pay $2,000 to-win while Saturday night's finale will pay $10,000 to-win. The 2023 Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek Champion will receive $3,000.
Christian Bruno, Tim Backwater, Steven Snyder Jr., Sheldon Creed, Kyle Spence, Brian Carber, Neal Allison, and Jaxon Bishop are just a few of the racers confirmed to be in action.
Greenwood Valley makes its sixth appearance on the Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek calendar since the inception of the event in 2007. Past Speedweek winners at the facility include Alex Bright (2022), Briggs Dinner (2021), Damon Paul (2020), Tim Backwater (2013), and Mike Dicely (2008).

2023 Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek Event Format
Hot Laps: First group of ten cars determined by pill draw. The remainder of the groups will be first come, first serve.
Time Trials: Order decided by pill draw. Three cars at a time for two laps. Two flights of Time Trials with points awarded to each flight. These points will be accumulated towards the driver's total points for the night, ultimately determining the A-Main lineup. The two flights will be split dow notes middle of the pill draw lineup.
Heat Races: Lined up by Time Trial times. Each Time Trial flight will be in the same Heat races. Invert of six in each Heat race. Passing points and finishing points will be rewarded.
A-Main/B-Mains: Combined points from Time Trials and Heats will be combined to determine lineups for either A-Main or B-Main. The top eighteen in overall points will qualify for the A-Main. The remainder of competitors will go to B-Mains.
