Weather Halts Entire Racing Weekend
SEYMOUR, Ind. - At first glance, it appeared to be a busy weekend of racing across the Dirt2Media network. Mother nature had other plans as it forced the cancellations of five events across the region.
The Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series was scheduled for competition on Friday and Saturday at Dallas County Speedway in Urbana, Missouri but fell victim to less than desirable weather conditions.
The next event for the NOW600 Series is at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex in Sweet Springs, Missouri on April 29-30th.
Practice at US24 Speedway in Logansport, Indiana was rescheduled for this Wednesday evening due to wet grounds. The track's opening night is scheduled for this Friday night with a full racing program.
Brownstown Speedway credited wet grounds and cool temperatures to it's cancellation of it's Meet & Greet Night featuring a weekly racing lineup. Up next for Brownstown is Kids's Night this Saturday night.
Sunday's Roval 100 at Salem Speedway was the final domino of the weekend as it opted to cancel the Crown Vic special event due to weather and other circumstances. The ARCA/CRA Super Series headlines Salem's next event on Sunday, April 24th.
