Lucky Seven Crowned At Brownstown

BROWNSTOWN, Ind. – Unfavorable weather conditions nixed the final points race of the season at Brownstown Speedway, ultimately crowning a lucky seven drivers as track champions at the historic Southern Indiana facility.

Devin Gilpin scored his fourth track championship in the Super Late Model division, all of those titles coming over the past five seasons. The Columbus, Ind. driver tallied three marks under the feature win column at Brownstown, two of those victories being $5,000 to win shows.

Paragon, Ind. driver Tyler Neal picked up the Indiana Pro Late Model division points championship, wrapping up the season with ten feature wins. In addition to five feature victories at Brownstown, Neal picked up traveling series wins at Bloomington Speedway, Lincoln Park Speedway, Circle City Raceway, and Terre Haute Action Track.

Matt Boknecht improved his own record by scoring his ninth track championship in the Modified division at Brownstown Speedway. The Seymour, Ind. driver finished the season with one feature win to his credit in the division.

Salem, Ind. driver JT Huffman etched his name into the record books with his first career Super Stock track championship. Huffman finished the season with four feature wins at Brownstown in his family owned #95H.

Dusten Carr picked up his third career track championship in the Pure Stock division, ending the season with seven feature wins at Brownstown.

Davey Waggoner scored his first career track championship in the Hornet division.

Michael Cranmer picked up the inaugural points season championship in the Crown Vic division.

The Brownstown Speedway awards banquet is scheduled for January 15, 2022, at Pewter Hall in Brownstown, Ind. The top-ten drivers in the final points standings for each division will receive awards. For more information, please visit the Brownstown Speedway website.
